Sore Legs today

Back from the London Marathon today.  It was amazing, such great support all the way around the course.  It started a bit wet and cold but it was actually a good thing.  The first half of the marathon went really well, felt great.  Then at 17 miles got cramp in my hamstring but thanks to a lovely physio was back on my way in a minute or two.

I had not done enough training for this marathon.  When I did New York, I was really prepared and finished in 3.38.  I did about half as much training this time but still managed 3.51 so I was really pleased.  I'm suffering now though.

The last 2 miles were the toughest ever, I had cramp in my quads and just had to run through it, I even managed a little sprint over the line.

Big thanks to St. Johns Ambulance and the Physio who helped me out afterwards with a massage and some salt.  I felt awful.  After about half an hour I managed to limp down to get my bag, had a quick freshen up with some Byoshower of course and then watched a bit more of the race before going back to the hotel for a massage.

Great day, really well organised, great weather and great people...  Will i do another????????????
