Team Green Britain Bike Week is an annual opportunity to promote cycling and show how cycling can easily be part of everyday life. Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK.
As the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK, Bike Week are delighted with their new sponsor Team Green Britain, founded by EDF Energy. Together they aim to make this year’s Team Green Britain Bike Week the biggest yet - encouraging half a million people to join in events, rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around.
In 2010, Team Green Britain Bike Week aims to make ‘everyday cycling for everyone’ and inspire people to try out cycling – for fun, and as a means of getting around – to the local shops, to school, the library or just to visit friends.
